About Us

Welcome to R Folly Farm LLC, our home away from home. We, Mady and Thorn Rosenthal, have been riding for over twenty years and currently own four horses that we ride in dressage, do a little jumping, and trail ride. We have trained with Lendon Gray, Francois LeMaire and Javier Gaona. While our focus is traditional dressage, we have attended clinics with Sally Swift, Ann Guptil, Louise Meryman, and others to gain as much insight as possible to improve our riding. We show annually to get independent appraisal of our progress. We have competed in CDA schooling and recognized shows throughout the years at Millbrook, Ox Ridge and Mady has her USDF Bronze Medal.

Our desire to have our horses under the safest and most attentive care has brought us to building this facility. Having boarded at many facilities and having seen numerous others, R Folly Farm was designed to be an efficient facility to allow us to enjoy as much time as possible with our horses. We both love to groom and spend time with the horses almost as much as riding. We believe a horse is happiest when attended to on a daily basis. Since we cannot be there each day, it is important to us to have an experienced manager living on-site to be sure their needs are addressed. Equally important, we believe a horse should be worked regularly to ensure soundness and mental acuity.

Michelle Nardini
Barn Manager

Michelle Nardini is a dedicated barn manager with a lifetime of experience working with horses. Whether riding English or Western, driving a team, or fine-tuning performance horses, she brings patience, knowledge, and a deep respect for the animal. Specializing in reining, ranch riding, and cow horse events, her skills and dedication have earned her two qualifications for the AQHA World Show.

Over the years, she has spent a great deal of time teaching and training, helping both horses and riders develop their skills. While she has since stepped away from the fast-paced training and coaching world, she still enjoys sharing her knowledge in a more laid-back atmosphere. She firmly believes that, "No matter your discipline, as long as you have discipline, it's called horsemanship."

These days, she enjoys spending her time in the barn and simply appreciating the connection between horse and human. With years of experience managing and caring for horses, she understands that success comes from consistency, patience, and always putting the horse first.

Outside of the barn, family is everything to her. She cherishes her father and two teenage sons, who are a constant source of love and support. Her two loyal and lively dogs add extra fun to her daily routine, always keeping her company.
